Here you'll find an array of activities for elementary children that can be used in Children's Ministry, after-school programs, in the classroom and by homeschoolers.
Just days before Jesus’ crucifixion, the crowds celebrated Jesus by singing Hosanna to the Son of David. It was a procession meant for a king. Are you ready to praise God and Jesus for all they are an have done for you? Let’s do it! But first let’s listen to the story and prepare either the stick figures or palm branches for our Praise Procession.
This presentation starts with a show and tell. After kids share their bright and beautiful objects, we’ll talk about how God is brighter and more glorious than all these. He is brighter and more glorious than the son. Peter, James, and John were privileged to see Jesus, Moses, and Elijah in all their heavenly glory.
— Mary visits Elizabeth, John is born, Angel visits Joseph — Luke 1 and Matthew 1
Zechariah and Elizabeth were chosen, in their old age to be the parents of John who would prepare the way of the Lord. When he can speak again, Zechariah bursts into song, praising God. Mary and Joseph were chosen to parent Jesus, God’s Son. Mary, too, praises God in song. We too are chosen and blessed. God has chosen to adopt us as His children. We are blessed because we believe in God and in Jesus! Let’s sing and praise His name.
