Creation

God is such an amazing Creator! Every aspect of His creation is intricate, well planned, and dependent on other aspects of His creation. These interactive presentations teach the days of creation found in Genesis 1.

Creation Days 1-3 — Light, Air, Land and Plants

On day 1 God made light, night and day. Kids will have fun learning about light by doing fun experiments. On day 2 God made the atmosphere and on day 3 He made land and plants. We’ll investigate types of plants and seeds and then plant some seeds.

Creation Days 4 — Sun, Moon, and Stars

On Day 4 God made the sun, moon and stars. We’ll do experiments and watch videos to learn about these. We’ll also take a look at how God named the stars and placed them into picture constellations which tell the gospel story of Jesus.

Creation Day 5 — Birds & Fish

Day 5 God made the birds and fish. We’ll make a fun ocean animal snack. The craft is a bird feeder.

Creation Day 6 — Animals, Adam, and Eve

Get out your playdough. What animals can you make? Adam named all the animals. Let’s play — Can you name the animals?

Creation Day 7 — Sabbath, the first holiday

Jesus Teaches Individuals

Jesus always had and has time to listen, help, and instruct those who come to Him.

Nicodemus Talks with Jesus — John 3:1-21

Nicodemus wanted to know God’s plan. He went to talk with Jesus at night. Jesus told him God’s plan, but Nicodemus had a hard time understanding. Jesus gave illustrations that tell us that the only way we can really know God’s plan is to experience it. Jesus came as part of God’s plan to save all who will turn to Him. He said, “I, if I be lifted up, will draw all people to myself.” John 12:32. Remember John 3:16-17. The kids will have an opportunity to retell the story of salvation through the Savior Souvenirs.

Teachings from the Sermon on the Mount

“When Jesus saw the crowds, he went up on a mountainside and sat down. His disciples came to him, and he began to teach them saying….”

The Beatitudes — Matthew 5:3-12

This PowerPoint presentation gives you the backdrop and ideas to teach the Beatitudes. Many of the beatitudes encourage us to be humble and seek God and his blessings. God is so generous! He is waiting and so willing to give us blessing after blessing. Get ready to throw money, pop a balloon, press playdough, and so much more!

You are the Salt and Light of the World — Matthew 5:13-16

This presentation starts with Jesus calling Matthew to be one of his disciples. Later at a dinner at Matthew’s house, the Pharisees ask why Jesus eats with tax collectors and sinners. Jesus replies that He has come to call sinners. On the Sermon on the Mount, Jesus tells us that we are the salt and light of the world. This presentation continues by exploring how we are like salt and light to the world. It includes experiments, snacks, songs, and crafts. We are to share the light of God’s truth and His love to all around us. Our good deeds glorify God and help others.

The Golden Rule and How to Treat Others — portions of Matthew 6-8

This presentation starts out with the Golden Rule: Do unto others how you would have them do for you. This is expanded upon as Jesus teaches us about generosity and councils us not to be judgemental. Have fun with the object lessons and crafts included.

Don’t Worry about food and clothes; Seek First His Kingdom and Righteousness — Matthew 6 and Luke 12

In this presentation we learn about how God created the birds to get their food. He cares for each of His creation -including us! He made beautiful flowers and will make us beautiful too.

Childhood of Jesus

Jesus grew in wisdom, stature, and in favor with God and man. He learned to read, help with chores, be responsible, help Joseph as a carpenter, and most importantly, he learned to love and obey God with all of His heart. It was evident at the temple when Jesus was 12, how well he had learned these lessons. People were amazed! We don’t know too much about Jesus’ boyhood, but we explore a couple lessons in this section.

Boy Jesus Grows in Wisdom, Stature, and in Favor with God and Man — Luke 2:39, 51,52

In this presentation we explore what it means to grow in wisdom by reading the scriptures and playing a game. The craft shown above helps us learn what it means to grow in stature. Attach a measuring tape to a colorable set of pages. We also talk about growing in favor with God and man. We practice helping ‘mommy Mary’ cook by making biscuits for snack and helping ‘dad Joseph’ build a box with popsicle sticks. There are a lot of fun activities in this one.

Boy Jesus at the Temple — Luke 2:41-52

This lesson is full of opportunities to search for this and that as we learn about the Passover Celebration and the lesson story of Jesus at the temple. Using candles, the light of truth, search for yeast and bread crumbs in the Bedika Chametz activity. Search for the hidden Matzah bread representing Jesus who came to earth to die and take away our sins. Search for Jesus and your friends. Find that it is Jesus who saves us and promises us eternal life. Drink the cups of the Passover. Finish by entering Joseph’s carpenter shop, pound some nails (have them already mostly pounded in), and drill 2 holes into the string art board to hang it after you finish the string art of a snow flake. Jesus purifies us – we are whiter than snow.
