The Lord’s Prayer God’s will and Daily Bread

A visual guide featuring a biblical verse from Luke 11, illustrating themes of asking, seeking, and knocking, alongside instructions for a craft activity. The left side shows children interacting and asking for snacks, while the right side lists step-by-step directions for creating handprint art using clay.

…”Your will be done
On earth as it is in heaven.
Give us this day our daily bread….” Matthew 6:9-13

Our Heavenly Father knows us so well and loves us so much! He generously gives us all we need. He loves hearing our requests. He invites us to ask, seek, and knock, knowing that we can trust Him to provide and protect. We can rest assured also because He knows the future and all those who connect with us throughout life. Therefore, if He sees that what we are asking for is really not for our good, how appropriate it is that we submit to Him and ask that His will be done. He has our best interest and our eternal interest in His mind.

In preparation, have special snacks near a leader to give when asked, hidden for kids to find, and behind a door or in another classroom for others to give. Also have some air dry clay, rolling pins, and butter knives. We added hand prints to our craft also by putting a thin layer of washable acrylic paint on a plate for the kids to put their hands in and then put on their clay hands.

Esther, crowned Queen — Esther 1-2

Esther was beautiful on the inside and out. It is God who make us beautiful on the inside. It is this beauty that He, our King, looks for and is please with. We talk about both. We caring for out outward appearance by looking in the mirror, combing our hair, cleaning our face, etc. The craft is to decorate a mirror on the back with stickers and the memory verse from 1 Peter 3:4. It is the Holy Spirit who shows us what we need to fix on the inside and it is God who helps that happen. He wants us to be respectful and kind.
