The Lord’s Prayer — Our Father in Heaven

A collage featuring a group of people discussing together in a serene outdoor setting, with biblical text about being God's children, images of colorful figure toys representing creation, and a smiling person holding a treasure chest, symbolizing joy and spiritual treasures.

“Our Father in heaven,
Hallowed be Your name.
Your kingdom come….. Matthew 6:9-13

This Lord’s Prayer lesson focuses on the first part of the Lord’s Prayer. We take a close look at God as our Father. What is our Heavenly Father like? He’s amazing! Loving! Full of mercy! We also explore what His kingdom is like. Isn’t is amazing how LARGE God’s kingdom is and how much He want us to be part of that kingdom! He even came to tell us about it, died so that our sins could be erased forever, rose again so that we could have eternal life, and went to heaven so that we could have His extra special gift, the Holy Spirit — God’s kingdom in us!

The kids get to make aspects of the lesson with play dough and make the first part of their very own Prayer Journal.
