Triumphal Entry

Hosanna! Jesus Saves and Delivers us!

Option 1

An illustrated worship guide featuring a scene with Jesus and people joyfully proclaiming 'Hosanna!' under palm trees, with scriptural references and craft activity suggestions.

In this newer PowerPoint Presentation, the kids are encouraged to act out the story. The focus is in one of the key words, HOSANNA, which means, save us; deliver us. Many in the crowd had experienced Jesus delivering them from many ailments and even demon possession. They accepted Jesus as Messiah and Savior. However, not everyone did. The leaders wanted to shut up the crowd’s acclamation. But Jesus said if they did, the rock would cry out. Jesus longed for the leaders to understand the truth. He wept over the city and the results of their actions.

Option 2

A colorful graphic featuring the text 'God is Amazing! His Work is Exciting. Praise Him in Song' against a background of palm leaves, and a scene on the right depicting cut-out figures celebrating, including Jesus on a donkey with speech bubbles saying 'Praise God!' and 'Hosanna!'

His Bible story can be found in all the gospels. We’ll have fun praising God in skit or with action figures made by us! God is worthy of our praise! Jesus is amazing! Let’s praise them for all they do.

Triumphal Entry Stick figures — by teacher for teachers;

This lesson includes one of the Savior Souvenirs — a pretend palm frond or donkey.

The lesson is one of the many stories of Jesus’ last week before his death, resurrection, and the weeks that followed. You can find a list of the other lessons here along with their links.

Craft Ideas — For these crafts I re-imagined and re-crafted the coloring pages.
