Crucifixion: Jesus Dies for Us

Matthew 27, Luke 23, John 19

Left side: Illustration depicting the mocking of Jesus, featuring a biblical passage from Luke 23 about the people and soldiers mocking him.

Jesus chose to come and take our punishment. The wages of sin is death. So Jesus died for us. It was His love for us, that held him to that cross. His death demonstrates how much He loves each one of us! In this presentation we focus on how Jesus thought of others throughout this hard day. He forgave the soldiers nailing him to the cross. He comforted John and His mom. He assured the thief who came to believe in Him that he too would have eternal life and be in heaven. We also see others who believed and helped Jesus: Simon, the Cyrene, the centurion soldier, Joseph of Arimathea, and Nicodemus.
